PALATKA, Fla. -- The Palatka Police Department arrested three men on charges related to a home invasion robbery that occurred Thursday night.

Around 7:40 p.m., officers were called to a home in the 2000 block of Kate Street after a 69-year-old woman called 911 about a home invasion robbery, according to a news release from the Palatka Police Department.

The release said the woman told police three black males forced their way into her home and demanded money.

One of the men allegedly struck the woman in the face. The release said the three allegedly stole two purses with money and other valuables inside before running away.

Police found 18-year-old Tomas McKnight, 21-year-old Torriano Brooks and 20-year-old Devon Pope at the intersection of Cleveland and President streets, the release said.

Two of the three were detained, but one of the men ran away. The release said Palatka Police K-9 "Lucky" tracked the third man to the 1000 block of Husson Avenue, where he was arrested.

All three face charges of home invasion robbery, theft and battery. They are being held without bond.

The release said the victim received minor injuries. Rescue personnel treated her at the scene.
