Williamsburg, VA (Sports Network) - Allen Roberts scored 20 points and shot 12-of-14 from the free throw line to help the Miami-Ohio RedHawks to a road win against the William & Mary Tribe, 72-59, at Kaplan Arena.
Bill Edwards scored 17 for the RedHawks (2-2) while Jon Harris and Geovonie McKnight each chipped in nine.
William & Mary (3-1) got 17 points from Brandon Britt, 15 from Marcus Thornton and 12 from Kyle Gaillard. No other member of the Tribe scored more than five points.
Miami-Ohio led 26-24 at halftime after an up and down first half which included 14 lead changes.
Harris scored the first five points of the second half for the RedHawks, who increased their lead to nine, 36-27, before a Tribe timeout. The game was never in doubt after that as both team's shot 46.4 percent from the floor over the final 20 minutes..
The Tribe has never beaten Miami-Ohio in six attempts.
