Guy Fieri has been in the news lately and Saturday Night Live's Bobby Moynihan put on his flaming shirt to spoof the celeb chef during a Weekend Update segment.
Butthe skit didn't make it on the air. It was, however, put up on the NBCsite, opening with an unsuspecting Fieri rolling in next to Seth Meyers.
"How are you?" asked Meyers.
"I'm happier than butter on gravy, Seth. I can't believe the New York Times reviewed my new restaurant! Full throttle!"
Said Seth Meyers, "Have you read it yet?"
No,replied fake Fieri, and then took a look. "What is that? Oh my god.I've never felt sicker in my life, Seth. Keep in mind; all I eat isbacon bombs, which is bacon wrapped in dynamite."
Meyers asked, "It is the New York Times, you didn't think they'd like your restaurant, did you?"
"No, but did they think they wouldlike it?" he replied. "I wear flames on my shirt and I don't bleach myroots. That doesn't exactly scream haute cuisine. It screams look out, amaniac is about to hit you with a face full of donkey sauce."
He added, "The New York Times reviewing my restaurant is like Architectural Digest reviewing a college dorm. My food is best served through a cloud of weed smoke."
Comparing his restaurant to "regular" New York restaurants is "like comparing apples and fat dirt."
And he said tourists are the target. "If you come in expecting Le Cirque, you're a jerk."
