Well alrighty then, Kirstie Alley!
Nearly 25 years after first starring in the Look Who's Talking franchise with John Travolta, 58, the actress admits that the chemistry seen onscreen also carried over into real life.
In an interview with Barbara Walters that's set to air Wednesday morning on Good Morning America,Alley, 61, tells the legendary reporter that Travolta, who was singlewhen they filmed the first movie in the trilogy, was the man of herdreams.
"Believe me, it took everything that I had, inside, outside, whatever, to not run off and marry John. And be with John forthe rest of my life," said Alley, who at the time was married to actorParker Stevenson. She added that Travolta was the "greatest love of mylife."
When Walters asks why Alley didn't leave Stevenson forTravolta, the actress says the decision was simple: She believed in hermarital duty.
"Because I feel like when you marry someone you'resupposed to work hard at it, and you're supposed to make it work." (Sheand Stevenson eventually divorced in 1997.)
Travolta went on, of course, to marry Kelly Preston in 1991, with whom he has three children (one deceased).
