BRADFORD COUNTY, Fla. -- A two-year-old toddler was found dead Wednesday evening after Bradford County Sheriff's Deputies say he fell into a septic tank.

The coroner's office determined that the toddler drowned.

The boy, identified as Aiden Wyatt Howard, went missing from his home in Starke around 6 p.m. Several law enforcement agencies conducted a search of the property.

Howard was found in a septic tank located in the 2600 block of NW 162nd Street after law enforcement had been searching for approximately one hour.

Captain Carol Starling with the Bradford County Sheriff's Office said Howard appeared to have fallen through a hole in the broken cement top of the tank.

Capt. Starling said family members told police they searched on their own for about one hour, asking neighbors if they had seen the toddler. When their search did not locate the boy the family members called 911.

The Sheriff's Office is not releasing the names of the parents until the investigation is complete.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Medical Examiner, and the Department of Children and Families are assisting with the investigation.

The Department of Children and Families said that four adults and two children were in the Starke home last night when the toddler went missing.

A two-month-old girl was in the home, but the sheriff's department says she is now in the care of her grandparent.

DCF spokesperson John Harrell said following procedure all of theadults in the home will be drug tested and offered grief counseling.
