MIDDLEBURG, Fla. -- Blossom Bittinger said when she started planning her wedding a year ago, the date October 11, 2012 stood out.
"We thought it would be an easy anniversary to remember," Bittinger said.
Bittinger and her fiancé Marty Phillips will not be only ones making it a day to remember.
According to a survey by David's Bridal, 10-11-12 is the date of choice for more than 4,000 couples across the country. The survey found 43 percent of brides considered having their wedding on a numerically significant date.
"I kind of figured maybe somebody else got the idea," Bittinger laughed. "I just love the date, you know. It's right in order. It just seems to go along with us."
The bride and groom said most of their family and friends have been accommodating about the mid-week ceremony.
