JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man who is charged with vehicular homicide after police say a 17-year-old girl died after he drove his van through her bedroom has been released on surety bond.

Ismet Sijamhodzic, 51, was released from the Duval County Jail on Sept. 20 after a local bail bond agency put up his $250,003 bond. His bond was initially set on Sept. 15 after he was taken into custody the day before.

Seventeen-year-old JaNay Jackson was killed the night of August 28 by a vandriven by Sijamhodzic,which smashed into her bedroom while she wassleeping.

Police reports show that Sijamhodzic hadn't slept in three days before the accident and he also had two antidepressants in his system.

According to the Duval County Clerk of Courts, Sijamhodzic's next court date is set for Oct. 8.
