NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. -- Summer break comes to aclose in Nassau County as a new school year gets underway tomorrow, August 8.

On the eve of a new year, some schools like Yulee Elementaryheld orientation for parents andstudents to make sure everyone starts on the same page.

"Summer is over. It is good to get back we are just as excitedas the kids are," said Marc Demeter who teaches 5th grade.

Nassau County schools earned an "A" grade from the state in the scores released over the summer. The district is one of the smallest on the First Coast with 15 schools.

Duval and St. Johns county starts classes in two weekson August 20.Classes in Clay County get underway on August 14.
