PALM COAST, Fla. -- Two Flagler County men have been arrested and accused of growing marijuana inside a Palm Coast home.

Flagler County Sheriff's Office deputies went to the 100 block of Birchwood Drive in reference to a disturbance Wednesday.

They saw two men dismantling equipment from an active grow house, removing the plants and placing them in their vehicle, according to a news release from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.

During their search, deputies recovered 81 marijuana plants. The plants would have yielded about 15 pounds of marijuana with a street value of about $37,000, according to the sheriff's office.

Kevin Fitzgerald, 35, of Flagler Beach, was charged with cultivating marijuana and possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana. Michael Menear, 38, of Palm Coast, was charged with cultivating marijuana. Fitzgerald was released from the Flagler County Inmate Facility after posting $5,000 bond. Menear was released on $2,500.

"I anticipate additional charges may be filed as the detectives complete their investigation," said Flagler County Sheriff Donald W. Fleming.
