Legoland Florida will honor police officers, firefighters and emergency medical services employees with a free single-day admission from May 1-31.

While at the Winter Haven theme park, guests may get a chance to mingle with Emmet or Wyldstyle of "The Lego Movie," which opened in February and was No. 1 on the box office for three weeks.

The Lego-themed park has more than 50 rides, shows and attractions. Legoland Hotel is set to open sometime in 2015.

Active and retired personnel with identification are eligible with valid ID. In addition to the free admission, those who take advantage of the deal can buy up to four more tickets for $40 each.

Duplo Valley, the theme park's newest addition, opens May 23. Duplo features farm-themed attractions, including a train, mini-tractor, barn and water play area.

Pick-a-date-tickets are $69 for those 13 and older and $62 for children ages 3-12 and seniors. Flex-day tickets are $84 for those 13 and older and $77 for children ages 3-12. One-day tickets for Legoland Florida and its water park are $84 for those 13 and older and $77 for children ages 3-12 and seniors. Two-day Legoland Florida and water park tickets are $99 for those 13 and older and $92 for children ages 3-12 and seniors. Discounts available for buying online.

Legoland is at 1 Legoland Way, Winter Haven, about 45 minutes from Orlando.
