JACKSONVILLE, FL -- It was a perfect way to end February with the boys of summer already playing ball at the Baseball Grounds. Nomar Garciaparra represented the parent club -- signing autographs before the game. A crowd of more than 8000 was on hand to watch this one on a school day -- Tuesday.

Bill Mueller, another new edition, went yard early for L.A. They lead 1-0 in the 2nd. The Suns struck back. Andre Ethier goes way downtown. The Suns go on to win 8-3. However, the Dodgers enjoyed thier trip to the First Coast. Watch the video clip above.

The defending Southern League champs Jacksonville Suns open the regular season April 6th against Chattanooga. There will be baseball at the grounds April 4th when the Gators and UNF play ball.
