CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) - If those preseason experts were to be believed, the Atlantic Coast Conference was supposed to be a two-team race between Virginia Tech and Florida State.

That still may happen. But as of now, both are currently in fourth place in their respective six-team divisions.

Miami coach Al Golden says the "ACC tournament" is now set to begin, and he's got a point. More than half of the 12 ACC clubs still control their own destinies in the league race, though that won't remain the case much longer. And after this coming weekend, the league's title picture should start coming into clearer focus, especially after Miami meets Virginia Tech and Florida State faces off with upstart Wake Forest.
