EJ Manuel leads a group of three former Seminoles that were selected in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft on Thursday night. The former FSU quarterback was selected by the Buffalo Bills with the 16th pick. He is the only quarterback who was taken in the first round.
Defensive end Bjoern Werner was selected by the Indianapolis Colts with the 24th pick while cornerback Xavier Rhodes went to Minnesota at pick number 25.
Although he was projected as a top five pick in most mock drafts, Florida defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd finally heard his name called when Minnesota chose him with the 23rd pick. Former Gators safety Matt Elam was chosen by the Baltimore Ravens with the 32nd pick.
Georgia's pass rusher extraordinaire Jarvis Jones is now a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers who took him with the 17th pick. Former Bulldogs linebacker Alec Ogletree goes to the St. Louis Rams at pick number 30.
