St. Paul, MN (Sports Network) - Zach Parise scored a pair of goals and
assisted on another to lead the Minnesota Wild to a 4-2 victory over the
Vancouver Canucks in a Northwest Division clash from XCel Energy Center.
Jared Spurgeon contributed a goal and an assist for Minnesota, which roared
out to a 3-0 lead less than five minutes into the second period en route to
extending its home winning streak to four straight games. Jason Zucker also
tallied to help back up a solid 25-save effort from Niklas Backstrom.
Chris Higgins and Henrik Sedin had the goals for slumping Vancouver, dealt its
fourth consecutive defeat while falling to 3-5-4 over its last 12 outings.
Cory Schneider finished with 28 saves in a losing cause.
