Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) - The Jacksonville Jaguars released veteran
defensive end Aaron Kampman Thursday.
Kampman spent the last two years with the Jaguars after signing with the team
as a free agent prior to the 2010 season.
His time with Jacksonville, though, was limited to just 11 total games with 25
tackles and four sacks due to a multitude of injuries, including a torn ACL in
his right knee in 2010.
A fifth-round pick by the Green Bay Packers in the 2002 draft, Kampman
appeared in no less than 12 games a year over his first seven seasons before
tearing the ACL in his left knee in 2009.
Over 123 career games with the Packers and Jaguars, the 32-year-old Iowa
product has amassed 483 tackles and 58 sacks.
