Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - The New York Mets activated catcher Kelly
Shoppach on Wednesday and optioned catcher Rob Johnson to Triple-A Buffalo.
Shoppach, who the Mets acquired in a trade with Boston on Tuesday, appeared
in 48 games with the Red Sox this season and batted .250 with five home runs
and 17 RBI.
Johnson, 30, hit .250 and knocked in four runs over 17 games with New York.
