Jaguars WR Ace Sanders expects to be suspended 4 games

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- In a conference call on Tuesday evening, Jaguars wide receiver Ace Sanders announced that he will likely miss most if not all of training camp because of "personal issues." He also disclosed that he will likely face a 4-game game suspension from the NFL which he will not appeal.

Sanders has been placed on the active/non-football injury/illness list. The 4th round pick from the 2013 NFL Draft had 51 receptions for 484 yards and one touchdown in his rookie season.

The Jaguars have also announced that cornerback Alan Ball, linebacker Dekoda Watson, and cornerback Aaron Colvin will not be practicing when training camp begins on Friday.

Ball and Watson were placed on the active/physically unable to perform (PUP) list. Ball started 15 games in his first season with the Jaguars a year ago. He had 2 interceptions in 2013.

Watson was signed as an unrestricted free agent this season. The former Florida State Seminole and Tampa Bay Buccaneer missed all of the organized team activities and the mandatory mini camp with a groin injury. He recently underwent sports hernia surgery.

Colvin was a 4th round pick in this year's NFL Draft. The former Oklahoma standout tore an ACL during Senior Bowl practice this past January. He has been placed on the active/non-football injury list.
