JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Marqueston Huff's stay in Jacksonville was short.
The team waived the safety off the commissioner's suspension list Tuesday. He was claimed off waivers following final cuts but didn't count against the roster in Week 1 due to a one-game suspension. The punishment was for violating the league's policy on substance abuse.
Huff spent his first two NFL seasons with the Tennessee Titans. The 5-foot-11, 196-pound safety played in 30 games for Tennessee and produced 33 total tackles and an interception.
Also, wide receiver Shaq Evans was waived off the team's practice squad injured reserve. He received an injury settlement.
