JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jaguars are worth $1.95 billion, according to Forbes, more than twice what owner Shad Khan paid for the NFL team less than five years ago.
In their annual NFL valuation of NFL franchises, the Jaguars ranked No. 25 of 32 NFL franchises. That’s up two spots and nearly $500,000 from last year’s rankings. Khan purchased the team from Wayne Weaver for under $800 million.
The Jaguars rank just below the Tennessee Titans ($2 billion) and above the No. 26 Kansas City Chiefs ($1.875 billion).
All 32 franchises increased in value from a year ago. The Rams, who moved from St. Louis to Los Angeles this year, posted the biggest increase, doubling in value to $2.9 billion, which ranks sixth.
The Dallas Cowboys ($4.2 billion) are the most valuable NFL franchise, according to Forbes, followed by the New England Patriots ($3.4 billion). The Buffalo Bills ($1.5 billion) are the least valuable.
