Jaguars injury update: Brandon Linder suffers knee sprain, misses practice Thursday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Add another major player to the injury report for the Jaguars.

Starting center Brandon Linder (knee sprain) missed Thursday's practice due to injury.

He has started the first two games of the season for the Jaguars and is considered one of the best players on the offensive line. With the Baltimore Ravens and standout defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan coming to town, Linder's status will definitely be worth monitoring.

Offensive coordinator Greg Olson mentioned during his weekly press conference that backup center Tyler Shatley sits in quarterback meetings with Linder, so he's familiar with the job responsibilities. Shatley would be Linder's replacement if he is unable to play.

Joining Linder as a new addition to the injury report was tight end Ben Koyack (meniscus tear).

The two are featured on an injury report that already features starting defensive end Jared Odrick (triceps), safety Johnathan Cyprien (knee/triceps) and wide receiver Allen Robinson (illness).
