Jags unveil ideas at State of the Franchise conference

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- At the annual State of the Franchise presentation, Jaguars team president Mark Lamping unveiled a few new ideas that are being discussed at EverBank Field.

While the new video boards will be unveiled on July 26th after a soccer friendly between Fulham FC and DC United and before a Carrie Underwood concert, there are a few other stadium enhancement projects that could begin in the near future.

The team would like to renovate the east and west club seating areas. This would include the removal of some seats to make room for outdoor plazas and windows so people that are on the inside can see the outside. Lamping estimates that this project would cost 15 to 20 million dollars.

There is also talk about putting a roof on EverBank Field. Finally, the team would like to be involved in the development of the Shipyards project. This could include an indoor practice facility as well as other Jaguars-themed facilities that would attract people to downtown Jacksonville and EverBank Field.
