JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jaguars received some good news regarding running back Chris Ivory on Tuesday.
The team announced Ivory has been released from the hospital and is doing well.
His Week 2 status remains in question.
Ivory was hospitalized early Sunday morning with what the team called "a general medical issue." It has been clarified as "non-football" in nature.
Head coach Gus Bradley said he was notified of Ivory's condition early Sunday morning. Multiple players noted that they were not told about Ivory's absence until before the game against the Green Bay Packers.
"I talked to him before and afterwards, he was down - obviously - for not being in the game," Bradley said on Monday. "Afterwards - his spirit - he just wants to get better."
The Jaguars play the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.
The team currently has T.J. Yeldon, Denard Robinson and Corey Grant at running back. Yeldon managed just 39 rushing yards on 21 carries against the Packers.
