PHOENIX, AZ -- Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart and Brynn Cameron, a basketball player at the University of Southern California, are expecting a baby boy in November, according to media reports.
Leinart and Cameron dated while both were at USC but broke up last year, according to the Ventura County Star. Leinart graduated in December and lives in Los Angeles and Phoenix.
"It might not be the best timing in the world, but we are obviously very happy to have a new baby in the family," Cameron's father, Stan, told the Star. "Brynn just found out about a month ago and told the team on Monday. "Brynn does not want to get married," Stan Cameron added. "She wants to finish school and let Matt do his thing and then figure it out."
Leinart said, "no comment," when asked about the subject at the Cardinals training facility in Tempe on Tuesday, The Arizona Republic reported.
Cameron, a 20-year-old junior, will redshirt this season and return to the basketball team next season, the team announced Tuesday. She could not be reached for comment.
Leinart, 23, was one of People magazine's most beautiful people this year and was romantically linked to Paris Hilton this summer. He is a close friend of Nick Lachey.
