JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jaguars cornerback Rashean Mathis has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Tennessee because of a broken finger.
The former Pro Bowl selection injured his finger in the Jaguars' last game vs. St. Louis. He has been unable to practice since then, but head coach Jack Del Rio had been waiting for today to make a final determination on Mathis's status.
Cornerback and kick returner Brian Witherspoon will also miss this week's game because of a hamstring injury.
The Jaguars face the Titans at 4:05 p.m. on Sunday. Former Jaguar Alvin Pearman was signed by Tennessee on Friday to help with the Titans' return game.
