JACKSONVILLE, FL -- David Penton is a freshman defensive lineman at Eagle's View Academy on the Westside. He's only played a handful of snaps this season, but he's still an inspiration to anyone who sees him on the field.

Because of a birth defect, Penton had both of his legs amputated above the knee when he was just one year old. He's now 15, and he's a member of the Warriors football team despite his limitations.

David has gotten in for a few plays in each of Eagle's View's first two games this season. As you can imagine, the crowd and the players on the sideline go wild when #66 enters the game because he is living proof that almost every obstacle can be overcome with perseverance and determination.
