JACKSONVILLE, FL -- ESPN.com is reporting that the Jaguars have signed former first round pick Jimmy Kennedy to an offer sheet.
The Bears will have 7 days to match the offer for the defensive tackle. If they choose not to, the former 12th overall pick by the Rams will become a Jaguar.
Kennedy, who played his college ball at Penn State, has signed a one-year deal worth $750,000.
This is the first of what could be a few moves the Jaguars make to shore up the defensive line which has lost Marcus Stroud in a trade and Bobby McCray in free agency. Grady Jackson is also an unrestricted free agent, but is not under contract with any team as of yet.
