Harrisburg, PA (Sports Network) - The trial involving two former Penn State
officials accused of lying to a grand jury has been set.
Dauphin County Judge Todd Hoover has ordered jury selection in the trial for
Tim Curley and Gary Schultz to begin January 7, 2013.
Both are charged with lying to a grand jury about the extent of their
knowledge of the 2001 allegation against former Nittany Lions defensive coach
Jerry Sandusky and for failing to report the allegation of child sex abuse.
Curley was the athletic director at Penn State and Schultz senior vice
president.
Sandusky was convicted in June of abusing 10 boys over a 15-year period and is
awaiting sentencing.
