game-high 28 points and 12 rebounds as the Western Michigan Broncos held on to
defeat the Toledo Rockets, 65-62, in Mid-American Conference action at Savage

David Brown added 15 points off the bench for the Broncos (18-9, 9-4 MAC), but
he was the only other player in double-figures as Western Michigan moved to a
three-game winning streak.
For the Rockets (13-12, 8-5), Reese Holliday was two rebounds shy of a double-
double with 16 points off the bench. Julius Brown contributed 15 points and
four assists. Rian Pearson put up 14 points and seven boards as Toledo snapped
a two-game winning streak.
In the first half, both teams made nine shots from the floor. Toledo made 5-

In the second, Western Michigan outscored Toledo, 13-4, at the charity stripe.
Nate Hutcheson made a pair of free-throws with 26 seconds left to put the

on the Rockets' next possession, but the hosts were granted another chance
after Shayne Whittington missed two foul shots. However, Dominique Buckley's
last second attempt from distance fell off the mark.
Western Michigan controlled the boards, 42-31, and points in the paint, 28-16,
