Eugene, OR (Sports Network) - Arsalan Kazemi recorded a double-double with 10
points and 17 rebounds as the Oregon Ducks completed a 60-38 rout of the
Nebraska Cornhuskers in a non-conference tilt at Matthew Knight Arena.
Tony Woods scored a game-high 14 points and blocked two shots as Oregon (9-1)
picked up its fourth win in a row and improved to 8-0 at home. E.J. Singler
chipped in 13 points and Kazemi also swiped four steals.
Dylan Talley paced Nebraska (6-3) with 11 points on 5-of-13 shooting from the
floor. No other player scored in double-figures as the Cornhuskers were held
nearly 20 points below their season average.
Despite missing all five of their three-point attempts before the break, the
Ducks took a 27-18 lead into halftime by converting 42.3 percent of their
field goal attempts. Nebraska was outscored 20-8 in the paint in the opening
20 minutes.
Dominic Artis made a layup to open up scoring in the second half and Oregon
maintained a double-digit advantage on the scoreboard the rest of the way. The
Cornhuskers made only 25.9 percent of their shots from the floor after the
intermission.
Oregon held a 41-25 edge in the rebounding battle and outscored the visitors
in the paint, 40-12, to hand Nebraska its second consecutive loss.
