Dayton, Ohio (Sports Network) - Devin Oliver recorded a double-double with 15
points and 10 rebounds and all five Flyers' starters scored in double figures
as Dayton defeated the Miami-Ohio RedHawks, 83-61, at UD Arena.
Oliver was 6-of-9 from the floor and dished out six assists for the Flyers
(7-2), who have now won three in a row and six of their last seven. Josh
Benson also tallied a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds, while
Kevin Dillard (15 points), Vee Sanford (14 points), Dyshawn Pierre (12 points,
seven rebounds) rounded out the balanced attack.
Will Felder was 7-of-14 from the field for 18 points for the RedHawks (3-5),
who have lost three in a row and are now 1-5 on the road. Jon Harris finished
with 16 points and five rebounds.
Dayton was up 37-33 at the half after scoring 10 second-chance points in the
opening frame.
In the second half, the Flyers shot 58.6 percent from the field as they
outscored the RedHawks 46-28 after intermission.
Dayton held a dominating 45-22 rebounding advantage.
