Stockton, CA (Sports Network) - Ross Rivera scored a game-high 17 points to
help guide the Pacific Tigers to a 67-59 win over the San Francisco Dons
at the Spanos Center.
Rivera made good on 7-of-10 shots from the floor and pulled down six rebounds
for the Tigers (5-4). Travis Fulton had 12 points, Khalil Kelley netted 10
points, and Lorenzo McCloud dished out seven assists in the triumph.
For the Dons (5-2), Cole Dickerson scored 14 points and was one rebound shy of
a double-double. Mark Tollefsen also contributed 14 points off the bench in
the setback.
Despite San Francisco opening up on a 10-0 run, Pacific fought back to make
its deficit just two, 29-27, heading into halftime. The Dons were 5-of-10
shooting from three-point range in the opening 20 minutes.
The Tigers stepped up their shooting after intermission, hitting 58.3 percent
from the floor in the second half. Pacific went up, 49-47, with just over
seven minutes remaining, and it never trailed from that point on.
Pacific won the rebounding battle, 36-25. San Francisco did not help itself at
the foul line, going just 6-of-15.
