Davidson, NC (Sports Network) - Nik Cochran's 15-point, 10-rebound double-
double powered the Davidson Wildcats to a 63-56 win over the Wofford Terriers
in Southern Conference action at John M. Belk Arena.
Tyler Kalinoski netted 11 points for Davidson (5-4, 2-0 SoCon).
Taylor Wagener netted 14 points and Indiana Faithfull had 10 points to go with
five assists for Wofford (4-6, 0-1).
Davidson got out to a 31-22 lead at halftime despite shooting just 40.0
percent by hitting 6-of-11 shots from 3-point range. Wofford connected on only
34.6 percent of its shots in the first half.
The Wildcats hit only 1-of-9 shots from beyond the arc in the second half and
shot 41.7 percent overall. Wofford was unable to take advantage as it shot
just 36.7 percent in the final 20 minutes.
Davidson outscored Wofford 22-8 on points in the paint and 14-4 in second
chance points.
