Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Robert Carter Jr. put in 19 points and came a
rebound short of a double-double to lead the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets to a
73-66 win over the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks at McCamish Pavilion.
Daniel Miller added 12 points and Marcus Georges-Hunt tacked on 10 for Georgia
Tech (6-2).
Chris Dixon poured in 20 points and handed out five assists to lead UNC-
Wilmington (4-5). Tanner Milson contributed 16 points and hit four shots from
beyond the arc.
UNC-Wilmington earned a 36-35 lead at halftime by shooting 48.4 percent
including a 4-of-9 effort from 3-point range. Georgia Tech hit 53.6 percent of
its shots in the first 20 minutes.
Neither team was able to separate themselves in the second half with the
largest lead an eight-point advantage for Georgia Tech. The game was tied
62-62 with 3:45 remaining but the Yellow Jackets ended the game on an 11-4
run.
Georgia Tech shot 52.9 percent from the field and had a 34-18 edge in points
in the paint.
