West Lafayette, IN (Sports Network) - The Purdue Boilermakers snapped a two-
game losing streak with a 66-40 rout of the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks at Mackey
Arena.
Terone Johnson led the Boilermakers (2-3) with 19 points. He connected on 6-
of-10 shots from the field, including all three of his shots from beyond the
arc. D.J. Byrd and Travis Carroll each scored 10 points.
Keith Rendleman led the way for UNC-Wilmington (1-3) with 14 points and seven
rebounds. Tanner Milson scored 13 and knocked down two of the three Seahawk
3-point shots. Tyree Graham was held scoreless and committed five turnovers.
Purdue led for most of the first half but gave up the lead late on a
layup by Cedrick Williams. Johnson responded with a 3-pointer at the buzzer to
give Purdue a 29-28 halftime advantage.
The Boilermakers broke the game open early in the second half with a 13-0 run
and never looked back. They shot 20-of-24 from the foul line for the game and
outrebounded UNC-Wilmington, 40-24.
