ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The St. Augustine Police Department sent an amended press release stating that they have not charged Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew with a crime in relation to an altercation at The Conch House on Sunday.
In an earlier release Tuesday, St. Augustine Police Department Public Information Officer Mark Samson said that Jones-Drew would be charged with misdemeanor battery.
Since then, Samson issued a second release stating that while an information report has been filed, the investigation into the matter is still ongoing.
It is unknown at this time if Jones-Drew will face charges, and Samson said Jones-Drew is cooperating with the investigation.
"Jones-Drew has not been charged with any crime and maintains his innocence. He is cooperating fully with our investigation," the release states.
