Pebble Beach, CA (Sports Network) - Brandt Snedeker carded a 4-under 68 on
Friday to join Ted Potter, Jr. in the lead after two rounds of the Pebble
Beach National Pro-Am.
Potter carded his second straight 67, this one a 3-under round on the par-70
Shore Course at Monterey Peninsula Country Club. Snedeker played his second
round at the par-72 Spyglass Hills, while the remainder of the field was at
Pebble Beach Golf Links, which is also a par-72 course.
The players rotate over the three courses for the first three rounds, while
being paired with amateurs. The final round on Sunday will be played at Pebble
Beach.
Snedeker, who finished second the last two weeks, and Potter ended two rounds
at 8-under-par 134.
Hunter Mahan, who shared the first-round lead with Russell Knox, carded a 1-
under 69 at Monterey to slip into a share of third at minus-7. He was joined
there by Fredrik Jacobson (66 at Pebble), John Merrick (67 at Monterey) and
Patrick Reed (69 at Pebble).
Jason Day (68) and Patrick Cantlay (70) both played Spyglass on Friday and
completed two rounds at minus-6. They stand alongside Nick O'Hern (66) and
James Hahn (65), who both played Monterey on Friday.
Knox tripped to a 1-over 73 at Spyglass to finish two rounds at minus-5, where
he was joined in 11th place by five others.
