Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - PGA TOUR - WORLD GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS - HSBC CHAMPIONS, Mission Hills Golf Club (Olazabal Course) - Martin Kaymer returns to Mission Hills this week to defend his title at final World Golf Championship event of the year, the WGC - HSBC Champions.

Kaymer matched the course record in the final round in last year's event, as he fired a 9-under 63 on Sunday to come from behind and win his first WGC title.

The German matched the tournament scoring record as well with his total of 268.

Fredrik Jacobsen led after the second and third rounds, but only managed a 71 in the final one to take second place.

Kaymer and world No. 3 Luke Donald will be among the headliners this week. The top two players in the world -- Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods -- are skipping the event after playing last week in China and Malaysia respectively.

Masters winner Bubba Watson and British Open champ Ernie Els are the only reigning major winners in the field, but former major champs Kaymer, Keegan Bradley, Paul Lawrie, Graeme McDowell, Phil Mickelson, Geoff Ogilvy and Louis Oosthuizen are all teeing it up on the Olazabal Course at Mission Hills this week.

Kaymer, Lawrie and McDowell are among 10 players from the winning European Ryder Cup team that are playing this week. Six of their American counterparts are also competing.

The PGA Tour will be in Florida next week for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Classic, where last year's champion Luke Donald will not defend his title at the season-ending event. The European Tour heads to Singapore for the Barclays Singapore Open, where Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano was a playoff winner last year.

LPGA TOUR

MIZUNO CLASSIC, Kintetsu Kashikojima Country Club, Mie, Japan - The LPGA Tour concludes its 4-week Asian swing with the upcoming Mizuno Classic.

Momoko Ueda and Shanshan Feng battled for the title last year, with Feng firing a 65 to match Ueda at 16-under par.

The duo returned to the 18th hole for the playoff. Both players 2-putted for par on the first two extra holes. The third time around, Ueda ran home a 15- footer for birdie to win this title for a second time. She also claimed the crown in 2007.

Last year was the 10th time this tournament needed a playoff to determine the winner.

The top-5 players in the world and 13 of the top 20 will be at Kintetsu Kashikojima Country Club this week. There will be no television coverage.

The LPGA Tour goes to Mexico next week for the Lorena Ochoa Invitational, where Catriona Matthew cruised to a 4-stroke win last year.

CHAMPIONS TOUR

CHARLES SCHWAB CUP CHAMPIONSHIP, Desert Mountain Club (Cochise Course), Scottsdale, Arizona - There are two defending champions this week for the Champions Tour season finale, the Charles Schwab Cup Championship.

Jay Don Blake won the tournament last year by two strokes after going minus-8 in the middle two rounds. He opened and closed with even-par 71s to hang on for the win at TPC Harding Park.

Tom Lehman shared 18th behind Blake, but that was enough for him to top Mark Calcavecchia in the season-long race for the Charles Schwab Cup.

Both players are in the field this week, and both are looking up at Bernhard Langer in the Schwab Cup race. Even with extra points available this week, only Langer, Lehman and two-time major champion Roger Chapman can win that title this year.

The event moved from San Francisco to Scottsdale and will be played on the Cochise Course at Desert Mountain.

Golf Channel will have coverage of all four rounds this week.

This is the final official event of the season for the Champions Tour. There will be the Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge and PNC Father/Son Challenge in the next two months as unofficial events.
