Far Hills, NJ (Sports Network) - The United States Golf Association announced on Thursday that Colleton River Plantation Club, located in Bluffton, South Carolina, will host the 2015 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship.

The dates for the championship will be July 20-25.

"The USGA is pleased to bring the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship back to the state of South Carolina for the first time in more than 30 years," said USGA vice president and championship committee chairman Thomas J. O'Toole, Jr. "Renowned architect Pete Dye has often said this is the best course he has ever designed. It will test the players' skill and help identify the best junior golfer in the United States."

Colleton River's Pete Dye Course has hosted several USGA qualifiers since 2005, including ones for U.S. Opens, U.S. Amateurs and one U.S. Senior Open.

In 2012, Colleton River served as the site for a U.S. Open local qualifier and a U.S. Amateur sectional qualifier earlier this month.

Andy Hyeon Bo Shim won this year's U.S. Junior just last week.

Next year, the event will be played at Martis Camp Club in Truckee, California, followed by The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas for the 2014 edition.
