Parking
All parking for tournament week is on site. For practice round days (Monday-Wednesday), parking on site will be free. Once the tournament starts (Thursday-Sunday), however, parking requires a pass that must be purchased in advance. Parking can be purchased in daily ($20 per day) and weekly packages ($75 for four days) and are available in advance via www.pgatour.com/theplayers or at area Publix Supermarkets.
To improve on the parking challenges faced in 2011, THE PLAYERS has implemented a new parking program and hired the services of Game Day Sports to manage THE PLAYERS parking lots. Game Day Sports is a recognized industry leader that coordinates parking. THE PLAYERS brought the company on board for 2012 in an effort to improve the overall fan experience by eliminating wait times to/from the parking lots.
Free admission for kids and The Family Plan
Youth 18 and younger are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a ticketed adult. There is no limit to the number of youth 18 and under who can attend with a ticketed adult.
This means a family of five can attend THE PLAYERS, but only pay for the two ticketed adults or a youth soccer team can attend with their coach and only pay for the coach's ticket.
The Family Plan package offers additional savings just for families. For just $89, families get two adult grounds tickets, unlimited youth tickets and a $20 concessions credit, a savings of $40. Parking passes are additional.
New this year, The Family Plan is offered at 26 participating Daily's convenience stores, as well as online at www.pgatour.com/theplayers. Also new for 2012, as mentioned above, is the Kids' Zone near the Nicklaus Gate. Now parents will have an interactive and entertaining place to bring the kids to blow off some steam before heading back out on the course.
Free/discounted admission policy for military
The Players will continue its policy of providing free or affordable access to the tournament for men and women of the Armed Services. There are two military ticket policies:
- All active duty, Reserve and retired military personnel and their dependents receive free admission to the tournament all day, every day. Free tickets are available online via a link to TicketMaster from The Players website (pgatour.com/theplayers); these are print-at-home tickets and military personnel and their dependents will be asked to present the paper ticket AND valid military ID at the gate for free admission.
- THE PLAYERS is proud to partner with Veterans Advantage to distribute discounted tickets to military veterans and their families. Available to those carrying the Veterans Advantage VetRewards Card, discounted tickets can be purchased online through a special link, and then redeemed at the admissions gate with proof of a valid Veterans Advantage VetRewards Card.
