JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Now maybe Mark Richt will quiet down about moving the Florida-Georgia rivalry to a home and home after his team's 42-30 win over the Gators. It's only Georgia's third win in the last 18 years.
The Florida defense was abysmal, allowing Knowshon Moreno to rush for 188 yards while Matthew Stafford threw two long touchdown passes.
When Florida had pulled within 5 points with about 9 minutes left, they allowed the Bulldogs to drive the field, chew up 5 plus minutes, and score another touchdown which sealed the game.
Tim Tebow accounted for three touchdowns, but 30 points was not enough for the Gators who are now 5-3 and 3-3 in conference play and seemingly a long shot at making it to Atlanta.
Tebow on the night threw for 236 yards but was sacked six times during the game. The Dawgs are now 6-2 and in the hunt in the SEC East.
