Miami's Duke Johnson raring for new season

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) - Duke Johnson is fully recovered from the broken ankle that ended his sophomore season at Miami.

He worked hard, like his mother taught him.

Cassandra Mitchell is a corrections officer in Miami-Dade County, and ensuring her family has what it needs hasn't always been easy. That's part of the reason why her son is not all impressed by the fame and notoriety he's gotten by being a star running back for the Hurricanes.

Among players with at least 300 career rushes and receptions entering this season, no one averages more yards per touch than Johnson.

He's already mentioned as a high draft pick in 2015 if he leaves Miami early. He hasn't decided what to do yet.
