Florida's 30-game win streak ends as UConn wins 63-53

Arlington, Texas -- Despite winning it's first four games of the NCAA Tournament, the Florida Gators met their match on Saturday night at the Final Four. For the second time this season, UConn has defeated Florida. The Huskies who were the last team to beat the Gators before their 30-game winning streak began defeated them again on Saturday 63-53.

Florida ends it's season with a (36-3) record. Connecticut advances to Monday's national championship game where they will face the winner of the Kentucky-Wisconsin game.

UConn was the first #7 seed ever to reach the Final Four. If they can win a national championship on Monday, they will be the second-highest seed ever to do so as they would be behind #8 seed Villanova in 1985.

Florida started the game on a 16-4 run, but the Gators scored just 2 baskets in the final 9:48 of the first half as the Huskies led 25-22 at the break. It was the Gators' lowest output in the first half all season.

SEC Player of the Year Scottie Wilbekin finished with just 4 points and 1 assist. He was slowed by leg cramps during the second half.

Providence grad Patric Young scored a season-high 19 points while Casey Prather added 15.
