Bortles looks to impact youth through football

The Blake Bortles Foundation partnered with Jacksonville Orthapaedic Foundation and the Jax Police Athletic League to host the very first Blake Bortles JaxPAL football camp on Saturday morning.

JACKSONVILLE, FL --- Even though the Jags wrapped up OTA's last week and mini-camp begins on Tuesday, Blake Bortles was still out tossing the pigskin Saturday.

This time though, he took a break from the fields at Everbank to hang out with some smaller football players for the very first Blake Bortles JaxPAL football camp.

The Blake Bortles Foundation partnered with the Jacksonville Orthapaedic Foundation and the Police Athletic League to host the free event for boys and girls, ages 5-16.

"I'm just continually trying to make an impact on these young kids lives, in this community and the community I grew up in. I think it's really important because these are the kids that are going to grow up to be the next NFL football players and young professionals in the workforce, so to be able to impact them while they're young, and instill some good traits and stuff you can learn while playing football...it's cool," Bortles said.
