UCF defeats SMU 17-13, will play in BCS bowl game

DALLAS, Tx. -- The University of Central Florida will be playing in a BCS bowl game for the first time in school history.

The Knights defeated SMU 17-13 on a frigid Saturday afternoon in Dallas where the temperature at kickoff was 24 degrees.

UCF finishes the regular season with an (11-1) record.
