JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Nease High School senior Karen Xiang dominated the competition in the girls varsity cross country meet at the Mandarin Mustangs Invitational on Saturday morning.
The meet, held at the FSCJ North Campus, drew 27 teams from all over Florida and Georgia. Xiang finished with a personal record time of 18:30. That time was nearly 50 seconds faster than the runner who finished in second place.
Xiang says her time would've been a little faster if she hadn't taken a few wrong turns along the course.
