JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Thanks to a program led by the United States Tennis Associaton, kids that are 10 and under are learning the game easier and faster than ever before.
The USTA 10 and Under Tennis program allows for shorter and lighter racquets, slower-bouncing balls, smaller courts, and simplified scoring. All of these aspects allow children to play tennis more easily.
The MaliVai Washington Kids Foundation is one local organization which has smaller courts that are designed for kids 10 and under. In fact, Washington, a former Wimbledon finalist says that by purchasing a portable net at a sporting goods store, kids can learn to play tennis anywhere.
