JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Andrew Jackson High School graduate Leon Washington recently started his own foundation so he could give back to his hometown in honor and appreciation of those who mentored and guided him when he was growing up on Jacksonville's Eastside.

Washington, a former Florida State Seminole, is entering his eighth NFL season and first with the New England Patriots.  He's currently tied with Josh Cribbs for most career kickoff returns for touchdowns in NFL history.  Both Washington and Cribbs have run back 8 kickoffs for touchdowns.

This weekend, Leon has a few events planned including a "Poker Face" Casino Night at the WJCT Building downtown on Friday, a free football camp at Andrew Jackson High School on Saturday, and a Breakfast of Champions at Jacksonville Golf and Country Club on Sunday.  The proceeds from the breakfast will be given to the athletic department of Andrew Jackson High School.

All of the events listed above will have current NFL players in attendance although there are no more spots available for kids to particpate in the free football camp.
