TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Fifteen departing Florida State players and nine former Seminoles are scheduled to run, jump and lift weights before NFL coaches at the school's annual pro day activities that could lead to a big payoff for some of the athletes.
While much of the attention Tuesday will be on quarterback EJ Manuel as he looks to boost his stock before scouts, potential first-round draft picks Bjoern Werner and Xavier Rhodes are also participating, with several other Seminoles likely to be drafted by NFL teams next month.
Running back Chris Thompson is coming off knee surgery less than five months ago and is planning to run for the combine officials.
Former Seminoles Alex Barron, Travis Johnson, Jermaine Thomas and Greg Reid are also scheduled to participate.
