ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- On a rainy day at Ralph Wilson Stadium, the Jaguars played just as sloppy as the weather. The Bills won the game 34-18.
Chad Henne completed 18 of 41 passes for 208 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Rashad Jennings left the game early with a head injury, so Montell Owens was the team's leading rusher with 29 yards on 7 carries.
Cecil Shorts led the Jaguars with 7 receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown. Justin Blackmon had just 1 catch for 9 yards.
The Bills got on the scoreboard first when Ryan Fitzpatrick scored on a 1-yard quarterback sneak. The key play on that drive was a 51-yard completion to T.J. Graham.
After a field goal from Josh Scobee in the second quarter, the Jaguars took a 10-7 lead when Chad Henne scored on a 1-yard run.
The Bills went on to score the next 20 points. Fitzpatrick connected with Scott Chandler from 11 yards out in the 2nd quarter. Stevie Johnson scored on a 13-yard reception in the 3rd.
In the 4th quarter, Union County High School graduate C.J. Spiller scored on a 44 yard touchdown to give the Bills a 34-10 lead.
The Jaguars got a 5-yard touchdown pass from Henne to Cecil Shorts later in the 4th. This came one play after Antwon Blake recovered a muffed punt deep in Bills territory. After Montell Owens run for a two point conversion, the Jaguars cut the Bills lead to 34-18.
