Kelly Clarkson is talking about a Christmas baby to go with her new Christmas album.
The pop singer, who's engaged to marry Brandon Blackstock, told Access Hollywood she's hoping for a baby for Christmas. She's even consulting other female superstars for tips about touring and traveling with a baby.
"We're getting married soon - like really soon - and I already told him that when we're past the wedding, I want a baby," she said in an interview with the show. "I was like, 'That's my Christmas present that you can give me.' "
Clarkson, 31, is due to release her first Christmas album, Wrapped in Red, on Oct. 29. Blackstock, a talent manager and Reba McEntire's stepson, figures in several of the songs, she says.
The couple started dating in 2012. Initially, they planned a big wedding this fall but now they've decided to elope.
Meanwhile, Clarkson has become close to his two kids from a previous marriage, and tears up while talking about them in the interview.
"I love doing homework with them. I love just the whole thing," she gushes. "At the end of the day, it's so much fun just to come home."
The children have changed her, she says. "I've never worried about other people. I've always been really selfish. It's like, you worry about other people now. It's the whole thing."
Christmas has always been a favorite season but it's even better now, she says. "Christmas changes, it morphs, it comes to life a little more. ... It's just a happier time."
